Our Story

 

CoFounder Kevin Craig, a 27-year Air Force veteran, conceived the idea for VetThread upon retiring from the military. Observing that existing veteran apparel failed to accurately represent himself and other veterans, he aimed to challenge the conventional perception of veteran clothing through the creation of VetThread.

CoFounder Joey Varga has a deep connection to the military, with several veterans in his family. His Uncle, a Vietnam War veteran, his great Uncle, who lost his life at the battle of Peleliu, and his 101-year-old Grandfather, a World War II veteran with the 56th Fighter Group in England, have all played significant roles. Joey takes pride in his grandfather, who proudly boasts that the Zemke Wolfpack, his fighter group, achieved the highest number of German plane shoot downs in the 8th Air Force.
